The key to the Petit Trianon, given to Marie-Antoinette by her husband Louis XVI in June of 1774. When he gave it to her there was a ribbon on it with 531 diamonds.
I’d like to think he’s the one who made the key too, I could see him doing that.
When people who watch Merlin don’t ship Arthur and Gwen……

And I’m just like:

BUT YOU KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN THE SHOW STARTED. ITS BEEN CANNON FOR ABOUT 1,500 YEARS.

Paul Delaroche - The Execution of Lady Jane Grey (1833)
Lady Jane Grey was the Nine days Queen of England, nominated by her cousin 15 years old King who died premature, ignoring his sisters claims for the throne who were legalised as successors by Henry VIII. Then his sister Mary acting quickly took the throne and imprisoned and executed Jane Grey by decapitation

so I guess it’s more like an Elisabeth of Bavaria then a Queen Victoria. I don’t know which is more tragic but I guess all good things must come to an end eventually.
