Anonymousi saw your post on streetcar. it made me mad too! that stella went back with him :( but that's the power of desire... it's so true. i've seen my friends get emotionally or physically abused and go right back to the guy. also, the ending of the play was so controversial that the ending of the movie had to be changed to stella leaving him which takes away from the story. also the whole part about blanches ex husband being gay was changed to somethin else.

YEAH! We watched the movie in class right after I read the  book and I was just like…..wait, they just changed that completely. Although I DO like the movie ending better, just because I couldn’t stand that she went back to him, you’re right it changes everything. It also makes me upset that Blanche ended up in asylum or somewhere similar, which I’m guessing wasn’t a very nice place to be especially back then, and she is actually not crazy and so she just has to go through more hell. 

Ugh, this play just makes me so angry.
