✄ out here the good girls die
I just finished reading A Streetcar Named Desire for one of my classes…..

AND IM SO ANGRY. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t understand how people can stand to like this book. It was really good up until the end. AND THEN JUST…WHAT? I can’t deal with the fact that Stanley can just do that and no one believes Blanche. And that Stella decided it would be best to just pretend Blanche is lying, and go on living her life with someone who would do that.

Maybe it’s just that I have a problem dealing with situations when people don’t have to deal with repercussions they deserve, or when someone does something wrong and doesn’t get in trouble for it, or when people who think they are right about something that is completely terrible DON’T get proven wrong. OR WHEN PEOPLE BELIEVE THE WRONG PERSON. OR GO THEIR LIVES LIVING WITH A MONSTER AND JUST DONT KNOW.

MOSTLY WHEN PEOPLE HAVE AN INABILITY TO FEEL GUILT. LITERALLY MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE. WHY DOESN’T HE FEEL BAD FOR WHAT HE DID? HOW CAN YOU MARRY SOMEONE LIKE THAT? WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THAT EVEN EXIST?

AND JUST. UGH. I’m so frustrated.
